Do you have a different machine you can try?

Please modernize the update process!

I agree the current update process is not ideal. We are looking at ways to improve it.

It depends how you like to build your galleries.

Assuming you are running a wordpress site, using the wordpress plugin allows you to easily upload images and build galleries in the wordpress admin panel. This might be a better option if you are often adding new images to your galleries.

The other option is to build galleries locally using JuiceboxBuilder, then upload via FTP. The advantage of this method is quicker gallery creation locally, using presets and the ability to preview config updates live. The disadvantage is that you have to manually upload your gallery files and paste in the embed code.

If you want to hide the image overlay in fullscreen mode, try enabling the info button via the 'showInfoButton' config option: http://www.juicebox.net/support/config_ … r-options. Click the info button to hide the image overlay.

Hi, Chrome on iOS does not currently support hiding the address bar. Hopefully this will be added in a future version.

ok great thanks for the repo. we will look into it.

Unable to reproduce here on Safari 7.0.3 / OS X 10.9.2. Does it happen every time? Are there any other steps to reproduce the bug? thanks.

The problem is that you have set 'showOverlayOnLoad' to false and 'showImageOverlay' to 'AUTO'. On an iPad, this disables the caption from showing until the user taps the screen. To fix the problem, set 'showOverlayOnLoad' to true.

Check the image config option descriptions here: http://www.juicebox.net/support/config_ … ge-options

Hi Ryan,

are you saying that cross-domain galleries do not run on IE8 + IE9? Do you have an example URL?

thanks,

- Felix

Hi,

we are aware of this issue and are working on a hot fix to come out soon. Unfortunately Safari on iOS7 has several new issues that break existing web content.

Your gallery is set to 100% width which is good, however the gallery will always be 100% of the containing div. To make you gallery wider, you need to make the containing divs wider.

Fotomoto is under new management and will be resuming normal services shortly. Read more details: http://juicebox.net/blog/2013/06/fotomoto-update/

Is there a way to at least force the scaling to remain proportioned

To preserve the original image aspect ratio, use imageScaleMode = 'SCALE_DOWN'.

Coupon code is now working for the 5 site license. Apologies for the inconvenience.

The juicebox gallery on this page http://www.rebelclients.com//rebel2012/test/index.html is loading the juicebox.js file from http://www.rebelclients.com//rebel2012/ … uicebox.js which is v1.2. This is because the src path is set like this:

<script src="../jbcore/juicebox.js"></script>

Regarding phantom thumbnails - what do they look like, and on which device are you seeing them? I checked your gallery on android + desktop and it looks fine.

What version of Juicebox are your running? This sounds like a bug fixed in v1.3.2.

Hi,

we have contacted Fotomoto regarding their status and have yet to receive a response, which in itself is a little troubling. We will post something when we get a response. As far as I am aware the service is still working.

Can anyone here recommend other e-commerce services for selling images?

The issue of images sometimes skipping on iPad has been fixed in v1.3.2. Please see the Version History for a full list of changes and the Upgrading Juicebox page for details on how to get the latest version.

In Safari do Preferences -> Advanced -> Show Develop Menu. Then do Develop -> Disable Caches

Did you try Setting 'Captions' to 'None' and then back to 'IPTC'?

There is no easy way to turn off thumb creation. One work-around is to keep your custom thumbs in a folder called something other than 'thumbs', then when you are done with your gallery delete the created thumbs folder and rename your custom thumb folder.

Your gallery is loading both Juicebox 1.3.1 and 1.2.0. This is probably causing the issue due to conflicting themes. Try removing the 1.2.0 version.

With this gallery on my cable internet connection I see the preloader for the first image for about 3 seconds, then the next images on the page load instantly (since they are preloaded in the background).

It could be that you are viewing the galleries with the images already cached by the browser in which case they will always load instantly. You will need to clear your browser cache to avoid this.

Realistically 1 MB images are always going to take some time to load. The trick is to find the right balance of file-size and image quality. I would try reducing the JPEG compression quality to get something around 500K.

As a comparison the images on this demo gallery are high quality at 1600 x 1000 px and are around 300k each.
