When I try to install the new version of Juicebox, I get an error: "cannot be installed due to a certificate problem.."

See attached screenshot.

Edit:
I deleted the previous app, and still got a error. I then downloaded the installer a second time and installed successfully.

I don't think the problem was related to Google Drive. I got a new machine and the problem went away. By then I had pretty well given up, and it took me a little while to even try Juicebox again.

Yes, I've run it successfully from my wife's laptop.

For general information: this issue seems to be a symptom of some instability in my particular system, rather than a Juicebox glitch.

Hi Steven:
I've sent you the logs.

I noticed that about the locale settings too, but I don't know how to check them. (i.e. I have no idea what they're talking about!)

Would it do any good to send you my install logs from this morning?

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I have now tried Lite, but that didn't work either.

I'm not running any security software.

I had previously run into a snag that prevented  JB Pro from running for me. See:
https://juicebox.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1704

(This topic is marked solved, because JB worked for about 3 launches after I posted and then stopped again, so I gave up.)

Basically it gets to the opening screen, and then the buttons don't respond. I've tried all the usual instal fixes, and some unusual as well. As I say, I had given up, but I noticed the new version and thought I'd give it a try.

I uninstalled the old version, deleted all mentions of JB Pro I could find, deleted the the files in the Adobe AIR ELS folder, ejected external drives, uninstalled and re-installed Adobe AIR, restarted my computer, install the new JB Pro, and, sadly, it still won't work.
Is there any hope for me?

Okay..got it. I didn't think of the package wrinkle.

Thanks.

I'd like to edit my defaults, but I can't find "the Lightroom plugin's 'config.xml' template file"  on my Mac.

Any pointers?

Thanks Steven: I'll have a look at that.

Yarg!

I updated JB to the dot release. It worked for 2 launches, then stopped working. I ran through all the trouble-shooting: uninstall with deletion of associated files,  re-installed AIR, cleared cache files, etc.

Again, on first try JB seemed fine, and second try as well, but now it won't work, and won't work in the other account that it seemed to be working in before. (Although the fact that it worked twice and then failed in my primary account makes me think the problem may have been there in the other account...I think I only tried it twice.)

So, the mystery continues!

I tried the steps on the Adobe page with our success, but then I downloaded AIR 19, uninstalled JuiceBox, trashrd the associated files, and reinstalled with 19...and...everything's working again. I'm not able to say what steps were germane.

Thanks for that link, Steven. I'll try those steps.

I did give J_B permission of course, and I've checked the permissions with "get info" on the working install against the broken one, but nothing seems different.

YIKES! I re-launched JuiceBox and it's back to not working...in my "usual" account.

It still works in the account I used to instal it.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Ah! I logged into a different account, and installed from there. Now things seem fine. So, some kind of permissions issue I guess, although I did repair permissions while troubleshooting.

One thing, Juicebox asked for permission to access an Adobe folder of some sort (I don't remember what!). I never saw that before. Could that be a clue?

I restored my previous version from a backup (including the file in the Application Support folder, the Documents folder files and the prefs)...so at least I've got the old version back. I may try just using the new jbcore files in my existing galleries for now.

I tried the Lite version: same problem. I also tried using AIR v13 without success. Certainly is a head-scratcher!

I'm having the same issue..and I have the same setup. I had this problem a little while ago, and eventually got things going again, but this time all the steps in the mentioned thread have failed. I've restarted without peripherals, deleted everything I could find, re-installed AIR....
I'm at a loss.

Yes, that's got it alright. Thanks so much.

Resurrecting this old post: I'm having the same problem on a new page:
http://www.ragandbone.ca/Pages/owl_at_home_slide.html

I've tried the remedy offered here, but the gallery loads "small".

If I re-size the window at all, the gallery displays correctly. What am I missing?

OMG!

There was a Juicebox-Lite folder lurking in a documents folder of my old user account! I deleted it and reinstalled, and all seems good. I thought I had already searched for all "Juicebox", but I guess it was -"Juicebox-Pro" I searched.

I have to admit I only did that last search to humour you!

Thanks so much!

I'm wondering if anyone else has any ideas for ways to fix my problem: I've tried a couple of new AIR betas since my last post, and still no improvement.

The fact that my non-functional Juicebox Pro Buider install has an "Upgrade to Jukebox-Pro!" button suggests something isn't getting installed correctly!
