Topic: Export and Upload differ in "overwrite"

Hi all,

In using the export and upload function in the LightRoom plugin I have problems understanding why there is a difference.
If I completely set up the FTP for uploading, I can just click. I am prompted to overwrite if I agree, after that the process just does what it should to "update" the website on the FTP with what is my current status quo.

Doing the same with the export button is giving different results. I use that function to place a copy of my settings on my HDD, just in case. If there is no directory available and I give the name of the directory, all is being exported just as nice as the upload does. But if it is already available, I cannot save with the same name again.
My 'workaround' is to first delete the copy I made last time. Is this foreseen like this or am I simply doing something wrong here.

Best regards,
Ruud

Re: Export and Upload differ in "overwrite"

The 'Export' and 'Upload' buttons are part of Lightroom (rather than the Juicebox plugin) and their functionality is controlled purely by Lightroom itself. Try using a different web engine (such as the default 'Lightroom HTML Gallery') and you should see the same behavior.

If you want to save a gallery to an existing folder (for example to overwrite an existing gallery), then click the 'Export' button, navigate into the folder's parent directory, highlight (single left-click) the folder you want to save your gallery to and click the 'Choose Selected' button (rather than the 'Open/Save' button). You should then be notified that files may be overwritten.

I hope this helps.
