Topic: Update to WordPress 3.8.1 background + dimensions bugs

Hello.

I recently updated to WordPress 3.8.1 and it seems a few bugs have appeared. I have provided screenshots for this. Has this happened to anyone and/or is there a solution for this?

A few pixels of clear space have appeared in each gallery now. All images do not have these pixels in them so they are appearing due to JuiceBox. All galleries have this issue. Example:

For NEW galleries, when scrolling through a gallery, the drop-shadow seems to intensify as each image scrolls either left or right. Eventually there's a thick black border all around the image if the image is changed enough. None of the previous galleries before the 3.8 WordPress update have this issue. Example:

After:

Please advise on how to go about fixing this. Thank you! :)

Re: Update to WordPress 3.8.1 background + dimensions bugs

It looks like your WordPress theme might be using some global CSS rules that apply to all images on your web page (including those in your Juicebox gallery). Juicebox has no option but to inherit such rules.
Try temporarily reverting to the default WordPress theme to see if this makes a difference.
If you post the URL to your gallery, I can take a look and see if I can determine the cause of the problem.

Re: Update to WordPress 3.8.1 background + dimensions bugs

Hi Steven,

Unfortunately, I cannot revert back to the original theme as it is a busy site.

However, I reuploaded the jbcore folder to the plug-ins directory and it fixed the drop-shadow issue but ONLY after I created a new gallery with the actual application, made the changes, copied the config file contents into each individual WordPress/Juicebox gallery settings. This removed that issue.

The issue with the few pixels above each image/gallery still stands.

Re: Update to WordPress 3.8.1 background + dimensions bugs

The problem may still be due to CSS so check your theme's CSS pages to see if you can find any global CSS rules which might be causing a problem. (Look out for use of the global selector * or rules than apply to all div, img or p tags.)
Also, fire up your browser's developer tools and see if you can find out if there are any CSS rules being applied to the images in your gallery which are not originating from Juicebox itself.
If you would like me to see if I can determine the cause of the problem, then please post the URL to your gallery so that I can take a look.
