Topic: iOS 7 iPad

Further to other posts on the iOS7 issue

It seems Apple have designed the browser viewport area to float up behind the browser bar or float down off the bottom of the page slightly. I guess this is an interface design feature to give the scroll a tactile bounce feel as it tops out or bottoms out (?)

This is fine for a scrolling page, but for a full viewport gallery there is always a bit cut off at the top or bottom.
Either the caption bar or the button bar is slightly cut off and it looks like an error.

Is it possible to add Stage padding top and bottom to ensure there is no cut off?

Re: iOS 7 iPad

You could try increasing the stagePadding (in JuiceboxBuilder-Pro's 'Customize -> General' section) in your gallery to compensate for the current iOS 7 layout issues but your gallery may not look as you intend it to on non-iOS 7 devices.
However, it might be the best workaround until the problem is fixed in the next version of Juicebox.

Re: iOS 7 iPad

Thanks for the info

Adding some stage padding and changing caption opacity/position settings can make it look ok.

Looking forward to the fix

Re: iOS 7 iPad

Hi,

we are aware of this issue and are working on a hot fix to come out soon. Unfortunately Safari on iOS7 has several new issues that break existing web content.

Re: iOS 7 iPad

The gallery sizing issue in iOS 7 has now been fixed in Juicebox v1.3.3. Please see the Version History for a full list of changes and the Upgrading Juicebox page for details on how to get the latest version.

Re: iOS 7 iPad
