Topic: Problems with Android 4.1.2

Hi

I've got problems to view my juice box albums on my Android Tablet (Samsung GT-N8010).
When I call a gallery on my website, most of the time I see a blank page first. When typing on one of the tumbnails, sometimes the picture is loading, sometimes not. When it ist loaded and I type or wish on it for seeing the next one, there is a transparent rectangle layer on the pic, which does not disappear any more.

I create the albums via the Lightroom plugin. My settings there are:
Pro Options:
thumbsPosition="LEFT"
maxThumbRows="10"
maxThumbColumns="1"
thumbNavPosition="BOTTOM"
thumbWidth="50"
thumbHeight="50"
captionPosition="Bottom"
maxCaptionHeight="50"
captionHAlign="CENTER"

On my desktop browsers all juice box galleries work very well.

I just tested your gallery on an android device here and it worked OK.


Possibly the issues you are seeing are due to a slow internet connection. Are you using a wifi connection or 3G? If you are using a 3G connection please view this FAQ item: Why can't I view my gallery on a 3G mobile connection? Also, try clearing your tablet's browser cache.

Cache is cleared. It works on chrome when I type to the next pic with the S-Pen. When wishing over the surface, the transparent rectangle appears.
The described problems still occur on Opera.

Interesting. I cannot replicate that issue with the Android test devices we have here. Does the same thing happen with the demo galleries here: http://www.juicebox.net/demos/ ?

For the opera issue, what are the steps to get the image not to show?

The lite demo does not work at all on my Samsung tablet on Opera. Only the thumbnails appear. No Image. On Chrome, images appear and after tipping for the next one, the transparent rectangle comes up.

Just open the URL and try to open a thumbnail.

The developers are aware of the problems in Opera Mini on mobile devices and a bug report has been logged.

The issue with the semi-transparent overlay on Android devices has been resolved and will be fixed in the next version of Juicebox-Pro (though I do not know when it will be released).

The issue with the semi-transparent overlay on Android devices has now been fixed in v1.3.2. Please see the Version History for a full list of changes and the Upgrading Juicebox page for details on how to get the latest version.
