Topic: Juicebox v1.5.1 issue

Hi Juicebox support,

After getting the news about the Juicebox 1.5.1, I tried to install Juicebox-Pro 1.5.1 by following the instruction mentioned on https://juicebox.net/support/upgrade/ .

I found my original purchase email, clicked on the download link, and successfully downloaded the file juicebox_pro_1.5.1.zip

When executing the file JuiceboxBuilder-Pro.air, the juicebox 1.5.1 failed to install.

After upgrading Adobe AIR, the juicebox 1.5.1 installation finished successfully.

Very strange, on juicebox 1.5.1, I cannot find the pull down menu showing "File", "Gallery", "Images", "Presets", "Help".
I am not able to see the version info. because I cannot find the "Help" -> "About" menu option.

And there is a clickable link showing "Upgrade to Juicebox-Pro!" on the top right corner of the window.

Before you have any suggestion on this issue, I've now uninstalled juicebox 1.5.1 and fall back to 1.5.0.

If the 'Upgrade to Juicebox-Pro!' link is present, then you are running JuiceboxBuilder-Lite. (Also you can check whether you are running Lite or Pro by checking the splash page on running the application. The Splash Page will say either 'Welcome to JuiceboxBuilder-Lite' or 'Welcome to JuiceboxBuilder-Pro'.)

If you are having problems with Lite vs Pro and v1.5.0 vs v1.5.1, I'd recommend uninstalling all versions of JuiceboxBuilder on your system and reinstalling JuiceboxBuilder-Pro v1.5.1 (making sure that you use the installer from within the 'juicebox_pro_1.5.1.zip' file).

Uninstall on Mac: Delete the 'JuiceboxBuilder-Lite' and 'JuiceboxBuilder-Pro' files from the Applications folder and empty the Trash.
Uninstall on Windows: Use the uninstallers in the 'Control Panel -> Programs -> Uninstall a program...' list.

Note:
I've just upgraded Adobe AIR to v29.0 on my Windows 10 PC and both JuiceboxBuilder-Lite v.1.5.1 and JuiceboxBuilder-Pro v1.5.1 run correctly (with the drop-down menu visible at the top).

Please let me know how you get on and if you need any further assistance (and, also, please let me know what operating system you use).

I'm running Adobe AIR version 29.0 on Windows 10 Home Edition.
When running the Juicebox Pro v1.5.1, both the splash page and the window title bar shows "JuiceboxBuilder-Pro", but at the same time the clickable link showing "Upgrade to Juicebox-Pro!" appears on the top right corner.

Your screenshot looks very strange.
The drop-down menu at the top is missing, there should be a Juicebox logo to the left of 'Start -> Images -> Customize -> Publish' and there should be no "Upgrade to Juicebox-Pro!" link in JuiceboxBuilder-Pro.
It certainly seems that your JuiceboxBuilder-Pro installation is somehow corrupt and I'd recommend a complete uninstallation/reinstallation of both JuiceboxBuilder-Lite (if you have it installed) and JuiceboxBuilder-Pro.

Please follow the procedure below.

(1) Uninstall JuiceboxBuilder-Pro.
Mac: Delete the 'JuiceboxBuilder-Pro' file from the Applications folder and empty your Trash.
Windows: Use the uninstaller in the 'Control Panel -> Programs -> Uninstall a program...' list.

(2) After uninstalling JuiceboxBuilder-Pro, please check that there are no files are left behind (even from a failed installation) by manually deleting the following folders (if they exist) from your hard drive:
Mac:
/Applications/JuiceboxBuilder-Pro.app/
/Users/Username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR/ELS/JuiceboxBuilder-Pro
/Users/Username/Library/Preferences/JuiceboxBuilder-Pro
Windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\JuiceboxBuilder-Pro
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\AIR\ELS\JuiceboxBuilder-Pro
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\JuiceboxBuilder-Pro
C:\Users\Username\Documents\JuiceboxBuilder-Pro
You may need to show hidden files to find some of the above locations in Windows File Explorer.

(3) Also, please follow the procedure above (Steps #1 - #2) for JuiceboxBuilder-Lite, too (if you have it installed).
JuiceboxBuilder-Lite and JuiceboxBuilder-Pro can both be installed and run side by side on the same computer but, being that you are experiencing problems, it might be wise to completely clear your system of all JuiceboxBuilder files before trying to reinstall JuiceboxBuilder-Pro.

(4) Reinstall JuiceboxBuilder-Pro following the instructions here.

(I realise that you are using a Windows PC but I've included notes for Mac above, too, in case any Mac users are experiencing similar issues and are reading this forum thread.)
