Topic: HTML code in image title form JB-Pro plugin for LR

Hi,

Have been really impressed with the Juicebox-Pro software, which I use as the Lightroom plugin. Thus I save the step having all exported image on my drive. Anyway, in doing so I've noticed that it's not clear to me how to get special characters in image titles, or even a URL to an external page. Can you give me an example? Would go a long, long way.

Second, I have read that there is no way to handle video at the moment. Is this something that the developers of JB might consider? I think it would really push this platform an enormous amount forward.

Thanks again for great software!

Is an option to simply edit the xml file?

Yes. You could certainly just edit the gallery's XML file in a plain text editor after the gallery has been built.

... how to get special characters in image titles...

The easiest way might be to just copy and paste them from another document.
You could perhaps embed the information as IPTC data (including whatever special characters you like) within your images and then have Lightroom extract the information (including any special characters which might be within the text) using the 'Image Info -> Caption -> Edit.. (Custom Settings)' text template editor.

... or even a URL to an external page.

When the Open Image button is clicked, the imageURL will normally be opened unless the image has a linkURL, in which case the linkURL will be opened instead. If you set imageClickMode="OPEN_URL" (in the 'Main Image' section), then the linkURL will also be opened when the main image is clicked.
The Lightroom plugin has limited support for linkURLs. the interface does not allow you to enter a unique linkURL for each image but if you embed URLs as IPTC data within your images, then you could extract them for use as the linkURLs (in the 'Image Info' panel). (In doing so, each image in the gallery could have a unique linkURL.)
