Ok, that worked fine. Please note that the file name is extension .php and not .xml. Thanks very much for your assistance in this.

I have looked and looked and, I think, tried every single caption option, but I can not seem to find how to turn off the image name (e.g., DSC012457.jpg) as the caption, and still keep the numbering system "15/265" at the bottom right.

I see that it is an option in the builder, but can I do this with the wordpress plugin?

I am using picasa galleries.

Wow. It's an ancient site. I think that it was built standardly in its day, but it's been given a lot of adaption by various webmasters over the years. 18 errors on this page! And I don't know code well enough to rectify. I can see that every effort was made in the validator to be clear and simple, but it still is a little beyond me. Do you have an idea what I could study to make this more understandable to me and to be able to do something effective.

(note: according to the validator, a few of the errors seem to be within the juicebox script itself, but I could be reading that wrong.)

I did take the percentage information and changed it to pixels, but that was not enough to resolve the issue.

It IS showing up in FF though.

I am just beginning to understand html and may well have not put it in the right surrounding tags I am guessing. Any help you can provide is very much appreciated.

I have a client I am using the juicebox galleries extensively on: www.gateslosangeles.com. He takes an active interest in everything that I do on the site, and is always looking for ways to improve it, particularly in regards to SEO. He has wanted me to name the images to reflect keywords that he has chosen for the site. And I have obliged. What he will often do afterwards is search for the keywords that he has chosen, to find out where we are out for those keywords in Google search.

And that we don't yet have very much back linking to our site, of course, he doesn't often find things very high in the SERPs. Just a couple of days ago, he searched for one of our images by the exact name of the image: woodgate021.jpg. Please look at the top link on this page: (it is a bit.ly link for a google SERP):

http://bit.ly/14CeQNN

if you click on the top link, you'll see that it is a bunch of code from the config.php file of the juice box plug-in.

I have been installing juice box galleries at the site using solely the work press plug-in. It's not a difficult plug-in to install and I haven't done any modifications to it. Can you tell me why I am getting code from this plug-ins files as a search engine result? Just between us girls, I don't know a lot about Internet security, and I'm not working with online shopping carts or processing money through any of my sites nor am I collecting data particularly. So Internet security has not been high on my list: I don't think that I would be a likely target for any hacker to spend very much time on as there wouldn't be very much in it for him.

But I know often times hacks are done just for the sake of being malicious and I very much don't want to experience that!

So, can you tell me if what I am seeing here is of any potential danger? Is there something awry with the plug-in? Is there anything I should do about this? Is there anything I can do about this? Is there something you should or will do about this? :-)

I told my client not to worry about it. But that hasn't stopped him! He wants me to resolve this solely because it makes him feel a little uncomfortable. I understand this, and I would like to figure out a way to get it out of the search engine results as well. So, please tell me something about this that either you or I can do to resolve this.

Thanks very much!

Thanks for that.

If there were less images in the galleries would that make it appreciably faster? Do you have an idea how much more quickly a gallery with as an example, 100 mb and 200 images might load as compared to 200mb and 400 images?

I have not yet studied Cloudfront, but I have heard about it a couple times in conversation. Could this assist in speed of delivery? Are there any faster ways to deliver up an image to Juicebox than Picasa?

Hi! I want my site to load faster. That's the main reason I got juice box. I have all my galleries in Picasa and I use Juicebox to go get em!

Here is my stats for plug-in time to load and how it effects my page load: http://screencast.com/t/UG9ecvGP
Here is the plugin that gave me this reading: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/p3-profiler/
Here is the site url: http://gateslosangeles.com/

Can you tell me if there are ways to get the plug in to load faster?

Hi there!

Here is the gallery I am working on:

http://development.slottoforkids.com/gallery/

and here is the Picasa link that feeds it: https://picasaweb.google.com/1096833746 … ttoGallery

All the settings are correct. However, the gallery only shows 50 images and the album hasa 76. Also, enableLooping="TRUE" is not creating a loop.

Can you help on this?

DAn

I understand that the wordpress plugin does not yet work with picasa. I am using ithemes builder as a wordpress theme. One of the options that is has is an easy way to make page layouts using solely html. See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsggFrD2jEc (2:39)

Does it seem possible that I could make a juicebox picasa gallery within a wordpress site, perhaps utilizing this html module that ithemes offers as you see in the video?

Does this information give something of a workaround? http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how … wordpress/

At http://gateslosangeles.com/iron-fences and at http://gateslosangeles.com/wood-fences, I am adding images through Flickr but the galleries are not updating.
I have been emptying the caches, etc.

I am attempting to add images from the media library by using these instructions from the forum:

While I can see how you can add to a media gallery by uploading via the from computer feature, is there a way I can use existing images from my media library?
Yes. Attach a Media Library image to the post containing the gallery (from within the Media Library itself) and then either:
(1) 'Edit' and 'Update' the post containing the gallery
... or:
(2) Go to the 'WP-Juicebox -> Manage Galleries' page and 'Edit' and 'Save' the gallery (without changing any settings)
Either of the above will rebuild the gallery's XML file (which is necessary to include any new images).

Here is the page where my practice gallery is: http://gateslosangeles.com/juicebox

I made a screencast of how I went about attempting this for you to review. Maybe you can spot something that I missed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFqKHJew4f4

Also, this content is not showing up on my Android phone, despite other html5 applications working fine there. Can you give me some things to try to resolve it?
