Topic: Lightroom Plugin questions [SOLVED]

Hi,

it is a long time since I used JB, allow to ask some questions which might be beginner questions.

I am currently on a trial of Lightroom and want to understand if its workflow will save me time.

Until now I am using Photoshop to edit pictures, place them in a directry on my drive, use the svBuilder tool to create a website, save this on my drive again and use a FTP tool to upload it to my website.

I would like to have a way where I can have the Lightroom plugin 'do this work for me' after the editing has been done. It is understood that SimpleViewer is not the same as JuiceBox (I have both), but to understand I think there should be no big difference.

1)Is it correct that there are a lot more options in the Windows desktop version of the JuiceBoxBuilder - Pro than I see in the plugin in Lightroom?
(I just downloaded the Plugin and changed the jbcore folder with mine)

2)If the above is correct, is there a simple way to make sure my 'general settings' are implemented in the plugin. f.e. autostart

If these kind of topics are somewhere explained, it would kindly ask for a link, could not find it myself.

Re: Lightroom Plugin questions [SOLVED]

Reading around the forum here brought me the understand that the answer to 1) is, Yes, this is normal. and 2)change the config.xml file.

Will play around and try :)

Re: Lightroom Plugin questions [SOLVED]

At the moment, JuiceboxBuilder-Pro and Showkase-Pro are the only applications which have individual input fields for all Pro configuration options.

In the Juicebox plugin for Lightroom, Pro Options should be entered into the Pro Options text area, one per line, in the form optionName="optionValue". Please see Step #4 of the 'Upgrading to Juicebox-Pro' section on the plugin's support page here for details.
(Alternatively, you could manually edit the gallery's 'config.xml' file in a plain text editor after your gallery has been created and add Pro Options as attributes to the opening <juiceboxgallery> tag.)

We are currently working on a new Lightroom plugin which will feature all Pro configuration options in the interface (removing the need to type them into the 'Pro Options' text area). I do not know exactly when this will be released but it should hopefully coincide with the next release of Juicebox-Pro.

Re: Lightroom Plugin questions [SOLVED]

Hi Steve,

thanks for your answer. My reading qualities seem to be the reason I had to ask this. I found all answers given by You in your website 'already', should have read better from the start.

Juicebox - Pro Plugin working as it should, thank You.

Problem solved, if 'reading badly' can be called a problem :)

regards,
Ruud
