Topic: Cannot load config.xml file

When I go to open config. xml in juicebox builder the file is greyed out and cannot be selected to open.  Not even the original config file is selectable.  Tried downloading latest version and get the same problem.

Re: Cannot load config.xml file

In order to open an existing gallery in JuiceboxBuilder-Pro, you need to click 'Open Gallery...' (or 'Gallery -> Open...' from the drop-down menu at the top) and then navigate towards and select the gallery folder itself (not a file) before clicking 'Select Folder'. The gallery folder is the folder which contains the gallery's XML file and the gallery's XML file must be named 'config.xml' (if you have renamed or moved this file, the gallery will not be able to be opened by JuiceboxBuilder-Pro.)

Re: Cannot load config.xml file

I am getting this error also. Galleries were created and then upload to an ftp site. I am changing my web host so I downloaded all the galleries to my computers hard drive. When I try to open the galleries in a web browser I get the "cannot load config.xml file". The file is in it's proper place in the gallery folder.

I have hundreds of galleries so I need a quick workaround.

@sziegelmeyer

It sounds like you might have a different problem to the original poster.
The original poster was having trouble opening a gallery in the JuiceboxBuilder-Pro desktop application (ion order to edit the gallery).
From what you say:

When I try to open the galleries in a web browser I get the "cannot load config.xml file".

... your problem seems to be with viewing the galleries in a browser.

Please take a look at this FAQ to see if it helps.
When I view my gallery I see the message 'Config XML file not found'. How do I fix this?

Also, if you are trying to open your galleries locally (from your computer rather than from your web server), then please see this FAQ:
When I view my gallery locally, I see the message "Juicebox can not display locally in this browser". Why?

If this does not help, then please post the URL to your gallery so that I can take a look at the problem for myself and hopefully help further. Thank you.
