Hi Steven,

If we wanted to retain the ordinary behavior of opening a corresponding imageURL with a click, but also offer viewers an alternative page for each photograph that includes a small image and features extensive metadata (Title, Keywords, Description)... what would be your suggestion(s)? This on a Showkase site.

TIA

Is there a MacOS text editor (cheap is preferable, free would be better!) that allows you to make droplets, or some other cunning automated solution?

I'm not sure what you mean by "droplets" but TextWrangler from Bare Bones Software is free and it has a sophisticated Find & Replace capability as well as a Script Editor, Library, etc.

Good Luck

Sweet, Steven.
Thanks

Thanks Steven,

I actually would like the logo to appear smaller in smaller viewports :-)
Is this possible to tweak?

Brilliant Steven. Thanks!

I'm noticing though that the logo image (222px wide) is not scaling sufficiently for smaller viewports. Is there a way to tweak this?

Sorry. I'm mixing up Juicebox and Showkase Forums.
I'm querying about the Showkase Logo

Can we set the Back Button to be our Logo?
Or have the Logo be a link?

Hi Steven,

Followed your original advice and manually re-installed the <juicebox_pro.lrwebengine> file.

Now I'm getting a decent config file and images :-)

Thanks.

Hi Steven,

Better, but the plugin is not generating an images folder or the content for non-javascript devices in the html file(s) upon export.

<www.umayyad.net/test/NorthWall/index.html>

The generated config file is looking rather sparse too:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<juiceboxgallery

                showInfoButton="true"
                    enableDirectLinks="true"
                    showSmallPagingText="false"
                    galleryFontFace="times"
                    showAutoPlayButton="true"
                    galleryDescription="Umayyad Mosque, Damascus. الجمعة الاموي في دمشق
En edit featuring miscellaneous views of the masonry of the north wall of the tmemos."
                    galleryTitle="Tememos_Exterior North Wall"
                    enableLooping="true"
        >

</juiceboxgallery>

The Preview in Browser... looks great.

Thanks Steven,

I thought something fishy was happening.

Looks like in Lightroom I was accessing <juicebox.lrwebengine> instead of <juicebox_pro.lrwebengine>

I'll try again....

Hello Steven,

I am experimenting with the new-ish Pro Lightroom Plugin (1.4.3) and cannot open the published gallery folder with JuiceboxBuilder-Pro to customize because there is no config.xml file included in the export.

It appears that the Lightroom plugin does not produce responsive galleries and I was hoping to tweak the exported gallery in JuiceboxBuilder-Pro.

I deduce that if I want a responsive gallery then I should create it manually in JuiceboxBuilder-Pro, correct?

Thank you

I discovered some path problems due to bad discipline while slinging out iterations of the gallery. Bringing that under control should help.

I confess a broad lack of competence with Javascript. In the example you generously provide, I see the way you are targeting the Back Button exclusively. That's neat. With this delectable crumb, I anticipate digging a little deeper into the application of javascript.

I take it that there is no similar way in the javascript or xml to target our caption overlay on load when we've set showInfoButton="TRUE"?

You've been of immense help. I thank the powers-that-be for sharing you with us.

Thank you Steven for the explanation of the CSS positioning bug.

I tried your suggestion on setting expandInNewPage="TRUE", but this leads to more bizarre behavior in Safari. The resulting gallery fails to open in full screen mode, giving the error :"Juicebox Error: Config XML file not found."  When I turn off the "Show Info Button" per your suggestion, the caption overlay now appears "left" even though the configuration is set to "center", again in Safari.

I think my best course is to eliminate the full screen option altogether until the kinks get worked out. That's too bad because it (sometimes) provides a great user experience. But I tried options #2 or #3 as well as using the Back Button for Adding a Logo and none work for me. Essentially, I need to have an option to place a logo JUST on the full screen page, not to have the same logo appear on both regular and full screen pages. Why? Because I need a navigation bar on the former but not the latter. The way these options are currently configured, if I customize for one, it messes up the other. It looks like it may be possible to customize the <full.html> file and have that fulfill my needs… we'll see. I'll keep exprimenting and look forward to the bug fixes.

In the meantime, I will submit Feature Requests for both Full Screen customization options as well as for the showInfoButton behavior.

Thank you again for your prompt and constructive support for this fabulous product.

Good Morning Steven,

Please find four screenshots here: <http://www.studiosaid.com//Pickup/4Steven.zip>

The two Safai views show the strange behavior, both before and after clearing the cache.

Safari1.png is a screenshot the first time I go into fullscreen mode. I trust you can see the juicebox gallery barely, obscured by a high opacity veil, seemingly in my background color: #f2f0f0. The gallery responds to my mouse-clicks: the shadow of images sliding is apparent although no detail  manifests.

But when I close out of fullscreen mode and then re-enter it, all suggestion of the juicebox gallery disappears: Safari2.png

I'm delighted all is working as expected for you on PC.  On my Mac, Safari v5.1.10 (OS 10.6.8) is giving this grief.

Thanks for your help,
-Saïd

PS(Thank too for the Feature Request link. I will post the suggestion regarding the frustrating overlay display behavior.)

Thx Steven,

Your suggestion for expandedBackgroundColor did not work. I tinkered with different colors and opacities but nothing altered the hiding of all images in full screen mode with Safari. Again, this behavior is new for me in v1.4.2 so I do not think it owes to a browser default.

I'll happily try your logo suggestions.

Too bad there's no option to retain the toggle but start with the overlay off. I'd rather viewers see an unobstructed view of the images first.

Best Wishes,
-Saïd

Greetings,

I'm having full screen and overlay issues with an embedded gallery:
<http://www.studiosaid.com/g_liquidlight/liquid-03.html>

a) full screen mode is almost opaque in Safari v5.1.10 Mac.  Works well in Firefox v31 and Chrome v36. Haven't checked on Windows yet. This happened locally after publishing ("View in Browser" - Safari default) and also live. This behavior was not happening in v1.4.0

b) Can you advise how I might place a logo in the full screen mode, upper left? I'd like to retain branding between normal and full screen modes.

c) I've configured Image Overlay "Auto" and to NOT show overlay on load (unchecked). Yet the overlay still appears on load. Am I missing a contingency here?

Much Obliged,
-Said
