added showSmallThumbNav="TRUE" to my config.xml of the old galleries and after clearing the cache the arrows showed up. sweet.

thanks for your quick reply. i thought i tested the latest version, but got confused and actually tested version 1.4.1.
now i updated the jbcore folder to 1.4.3.2 and indeed the reported behavior has been fixed. THANKS.

one new problem showed up. in gallery overview i lost the arrows for navigating between the pages.

since the update to 1.4.0 i am having the same problem with my page where i embeded the juicebox-gallery: expanded view of a single image ist behind the rest of the web-page. expanded view of the gallery-thumbs is before the rest of the website, but it has no background - so you see the other elements between the thumbs.

i didnt assign any z-index values. what could be the problem?

IPTC flexibility
it would be nice to have greater flexibility in adding the content of various IPTC tags into TITLE and DESCRIPTION of the image. it would be also nice if i could combine the content of several IPTC tags into the DESCRIPTION (lets say: FILENAME followed by a double dot followed by the TITLE followed by the DESCRIPTION in parathesis.

i would love to see a splash screen option to get a thumbnail grid of all gallery images.

so people can get a first impression/overview before entering the gallery and also the possibility to find an specific image and jump directly to that image.

thanks for your quick reply.
and thanks for helping me out with my confusion here.

i want the thumbnail grid to be displayed always - so i set screenMode="SMALL". got that. but then in the gallery i am missing features that only show when screenMode="LARGE" (like buttons and gallery title ...). that's why i wanted to combine those two options:
having the thumbnail grid on the first page to give an overview before displaying the gallery itself in screenMode="AUTO".

any ideas?

hi there,

is there a way i could get a splash page with a full thumbnail overview of the gallery? i searched the forum and found the solution of setting the screen mode to "small" and set the thumbnail rows/columns to a higher value. that works - but i miss the features of the "large screen mode" when viewing the gallery on a larger screen.

the question is, if i could have the best of both worlds: screen mode to "auto" and always a splash page with a thumbnail overview of the gallery?
